Hello to you all, I have done this masking tutorial for Alison and anyone else that would like to know. I am not an expert but this is how I do it.xxx
I first stamp my image..I have clear embossed this after inking up with Black Versafine ink. I have punched a circle, mine is 5cms. This is where you decide where to put your moon.
Holding on to your circle or use low tack masking tape on the back gradually start inking around your image. I have used Faded Jeans,Milled Lavender and Chipped Sapphire for mine. I should experiment on a piece of spare card to find your desired end result.
I have gone lighter where I think the moon is shining.
You can keep removing your circle till you are happy, just make sure you put it back in the right place
Here is the finished card, I have also dragged my sponge lightly across the moon to give the effect of clouds.I do hope you can understand this.xxx
Doreen this is just divine! Thank you for sharing this technique. I can't wait to try it. Hugs and happy crafting. -Kim
