Sheenas Faux Leather

Hello to you all, I don't know if you watched Sheena Douglass on Create and Craft last week but she showed a faux leather technique and I thought I would have a go. I followed the tutorial here . I was amazed how soft and so like the real thing that it is. Anyway I came up with these
I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the one on the left and a cuttlebug folder for the one on the right. Off course I had to personalize the one I am keeping I shall give Tommy the other one.
I glued fabric to the inside and also stitched around. To keep the papers in I simply punched holes and threaded ribbon through, I would like to make more and maybe use ready made note books and simply replace the cover.
But all in all I loved doing this and am very happy with them.xxx

I am entering these into
Papertake Weekly "Anything Goes"
All Crafts Challenge "Anything but a Card"
Artistic Stamper "Use Distress"

I have watched them both and got my supplies of kraft card and bottle of glycerine to hand so will be trying this out. Both your books are lovely and I like the embossing folders you have chosen to work with. Thank you for joining in at Craft My Life challenge. Hugs Mrs A. (DT.)
