A Gold and Silver Tag

Hello to you all I am sharing a tag today, That's Crafty are wanting you to use Gold and Silver.

I started by  die-cutting some black card and using my fingers covering them all with Gold and Silver Inka Gold not knowing what I would end up using.

I then put some silver through a leaf stencil

I positioned  all my dies how I wanted them and stuck them down. The sentiment was stamped onto some card that was covered in some silver Inka Gold and cut out then stuck down I outlined the worde with a black marker.

Grunge Paste at Paper Artsy

Hello to you all...I have some more wood art today. They are looking for "Altered Grunge Paste" over at Paper Artsy this fortnight. I have put  my grunge paste through a couple of stencils.

When dry I painted over my wood plaque with  acrylic paints and again when this was dry I sanded it all to bring out the white of the grunge paste and smooth it out. I then stamped Tims butterfly onto some card coloured it with distress inks and fussy cut it before sticking it to my plaque. I finished off with some silver paste around the edges.xxx

A Scrapbook Page

Hello to you all,yes you read right, I am back to doing a bit of Scrapbooking,it is what started me off with making cards and I haven't done any scrapbooks for a while and have had two additions to the family that need to be chronicled. I am talking about two Granddaughters Ava and Imogen.....
I am doing things a little differently to the Scrapbooks that I have now. There seems to be a trend at the moment called Project life although I am not doing it strictly the way it is meant to be done I have just got a 6 x 8 inch album and seeing where it takes me ...I will show the progress as I go along.
Most of the pages in the project Life are divided up with little pockets which I am doing but I am also adding full pages, which leads me to this page which is 6x8 and will slip into a clear page protector.
I wanted this page to have the simple black and white theme, I shall write all the neccessary info on the opposite page. I followed a layout for the Unity Stamps Be Inspired challenge challenge and used stamps from "Jan 2015 KOM" and the sentiment is from "Moment by Moment"

Paper Artsy

I have a project for the Paper Artsy challenge which this time is all about Deconstruction . My inspiration came from Pam Thorburn and a you tube video from Leandra on painting onto tissue paper (Thank you so much for this Leandra)...I decided I wanted to cover a notelet box with my own painted tissue paper, making my own Decoupage Paper.

I set about making my papers first, brayering on Fresco Acrylics Sky,CandyFloss and South Pacific

Once dry I tore it all up into roughly 3cm pieces

These were all glued on with  diluted PVA glue to cover both the inside and out.

I decoated with some flowers that I made using the JOFY 24 stampsheet ,I stamped them out painted them with Faded Jeans distress ink and highlighted with a white pen then cut them out and stuck them in place finishing them off with a button in the middle.

The inside of the lid I decorated with a Doily stencil and some texture paste

All in all this turned out fabulous, not sure what I will use this for yet....Maybe a jewelery case.xxx

Tim's 12 tags of 2015-March

Hello to you all, I am sharing a tag today....not any old tag this is a tag for Tims Tag Challenge, I have never entered before but just felt like having a go. I must say I loved doing this and think I will carry on doing them. I didn't have all the items needed,so this is my interpretation. I have used ditress inks not paint and my cogs are black card distressed to look like brass.

Tims Tutorial is here, very educational.

Guest Designer for Indigo Blu

Hello to you all.On Indigo Blu last month I was picked as one of their top three and have been given the chance to be a guest designer for them this month where the  challenge is
"Spring Greens"

For my card I have used a freebie  set  which consists of stamps from various sets available in the shop. I first made my background with some Gelato’s that I blended with a baby wipe , next I masked off some of  my main image as it was a little longer than I wanted, I then stamped this along the bottom of my card. I inked up the flower stamp and stamped where I thought it should go. I drew in the stems with a black pen. I didn’t want the entire sentiment so again masked off the portion that I didn’t want to use and just inked up the portion that I wanted.

Lastly I matted this onto some green cardstock and attached it to my card.

Guest Designer-Growing in Unity Day 3

Well I am up to day three of my Growing in Unity

I will be featuring projects using Unity Stamp Co stamps all week.

Look for a new post everyday this week.

I have decided on a bit of mixed media on canvas today using Angie Blom's "Harmony Girl"

The background has been made with Acrylic paints

I stamped the image onto some tissue and coloured it from the back....If you paint around the image with water you can then pull away the excess tissue and leave a ragged edge which then looks better when you stick it to the canvas

I have then added stencils flowers and butterflies along with the sentiment

Dont forget
