GD for Crafting by Designs

Hello to you all...I am so honoured this month to have been chosen as one of the March Spotlight Winners over at "Crafting by Designs " As a result of this I was asked to be a guest designer  and jumped at the chance.

I have made a birthday card using one of my Gelli papers and some Deco Art Paints with Tims Butterfly . I used the technique  again that I saw of Barbara Gray on you tube. I have used this a lot.xxx

Hello to you all, I am back again, I have been playing with some Stampbord just lately, I have some 2inch square pieces.... I covered the entire piece with Chipped Sapphire Distress ink and once dry stamped my image and sentiment using Black Versafine,I then heat set this and using a scrapper tool started scrapping out the areas that should be white. Once this was all dry I sanded the edges back to reveal the  white clay.

 I have added some magnets on the back and made it into a Fridge Magnet.

I have done another one of these but you will have to 

wait a couple of weeks as it is for a GD piece  xxx

I have been having some more playtime with my Gelli Plate and Acrylic Paints ....It is so addictive and I love using what I make. I used the technique that I saw on a You tube Video by Barbara Gray It is a perfect gap for a sentiment.......Anyway I have matched this one with these fab Visible Image stamps....I inked them up with Black Versafine and Clear embossed.xxx

I am sharing a wooden door plaque today....I have painted a wooden block with Acrylic paint layering up blues and white and of course painted in a moon. After giving it a good sanding backI stamped my quotes with black Versafine and went round the edges with Black Soot Distress ink, this gives it a bit of depth

Deco Art Makeover

Hello ......I have made over a pine dressing table mirror. I have had this years ever since pine was all the go. I am making over the entire bedroom suite as it is all pine and perfect condition....
So I thought I would show the mirror.

I have the lovely people over at Deco Art and the Blogger Outreach Program  to thank for the materials.

This is what I started with

I simply gave this a good wash and once dry gave it two coats of Chalky Finish Everlasting,I could have got away with one coat .

I then stencilled all around the edges using Old French Script stencil and Chalky Finish paint  Everlasting

Once this was all dry I sanded it down to distress the edges and where I thought the paint would wear naturally. I then applied the Creme wax and once dry buffed it up with a soft cloth This protects the paint finish.

The pots were decorated by gluing some string around them and painting with more of the Chalky Finish New Life

I just added some roses and twine bows to finish and added candles to the pots.xxx

I have been having another play with the Stampscape stamps..I have done this on glossy card for a change and am happy with it....It looks a bit like a postcard..... I suppose I could use them for postcards.xxx

Use Kraft Card Inspiration

Hello to you all,I am back with my second sample for Country View Crafts and the theme is

Use Kraft Card

I have used a Craft tag and attached it to a Craft Card today.

I painted my tag with Fresco Paints layering up Snowflake ,Rose and Sky and finishing with a layer of white. I then stamped on the grid marks with some Faded Jeans distress ink followed by the JOFY images and sentiment with Black Versafine ink.

 I then coloured my images with Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry Distress ink

Finally inked up the edges of both the craft card and tag with Black Soot distress ink attached a bow and fixed the tag to the card base.

Hello.... today I am sharing  a card made using one of the stamps from the Donna Downey stamp sheet "Create Today". I have made the background with Distress inks and stencils then inked my image with Black Versafine ink. The sentiment was stamped and outlined with a marker. I then inked around the edge with Black Soot distress ink.xxx

Hello to you all, I am sharing a wooden Plaque today.For my background this time I have used PanPastels after first giving it a good coat of Gesso. The beautiful butterfly and sentiment are both from Visible Image, Love these images...I also splattered a little diluted white acylic paint into the sky.xxx
