MONDAYS CHILD

Hello again what a change in the weather, it is very dull and overcast here today. I made this last night but it was quite late when I finished so I left it till this morning. Well I think my distressing days are over if I can't find something as good as my fingernails, why you ask, well my nails have worn down so low my fingers are sore now. And I don't know what else to use.
Anyway my image today is Mo Manning's "Mondays Child" coloured with Promarkers the backing papers were downloaded from Cuddly Buddly I have embossed the pale blue card and die cut the sentiment added three buttons and a little bow. I do hope you like it.xxx

This is for the following challenges
MO'S DIGITAL"Dry Embossing"
OUR CREATIVE CORNER " Sketch 20"
MELJENS " Just add some fibers, ribbon or lace"
THE TREEHOUSE "Tooltime Challenge"  using your favorite papercrafting tool. Mine is my CUTTLEBUG
CRAFTY ANN'S " Embossing"
FLOURISHES "Embossing"

Hi Doreen

Wow, this is fab. Love the colours. Sorry to hear about your nails, have you tried the edge of a metal ruler? Not too bad as far as results go actually but just not the same as your nails LOL.

I haven't tried the Tim Holtz distressing tools but it may be worth a go for the sake of your poor hands!

Doreen, the card is beautiful, love it.
I use for distressing the inside of scissors or a nail file, both work really well and give different strengths of distressing and am sure you have both of these. Never heard of using your nails before...... Enjoy your weekend, Annette x

Doreen, this is adorable, he is such a cutie, love your colours and distressing. The edge of a pair of scissors or I have a Tim Holtz distressing tool, both do a great job. nnalorac.x

Doreen, what a gorgeous card. I used to use an emery board or sometimes scissors but I didn't find it too effective. I then got a Tim Holtz distressing tool and find it brilliant - much better than nails anyday!!! Thanks for taking part in Crafty Ann's Challenge this fortnight and we hope to see you back again very soon. Best wishes, Kym xxx

Mo's images are adorable and you used this one to perfection! I love it. Thanks for playing at OCC Sketch!

To distress try the edge of sharp scissors or the CTMH or Heidi Swapp tools. I have good luck with both methods.

This is simply adorable!

I know what you mean about your fingers. I bought the Close To My Heart edge distressing tool and it has saved my fingers some. I still pick at it to rough it up a bit more after using the tool but it is much better.

Thank you for joining us for the Meljen’s Designs challenge. Good luck!
